I am a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a certified Sex Therapist & Supervisor by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). I am also the Program Lead and an Instructor for the Sex Therapy Certificate Program offered by CIIS Public Programs.
In addition to my teaching roles, I have an active private practice and work with individuals and couples to address complex sexual issues. One of my specialties is working in the realms of fantasy & eroticism, and I strive to bring a sensitivity and compassion to all clients desiring to understand and integrate this often confusing and highly-charged area of sexuality. I also specialize in consensual non-monogamy—and all the creative varieties within this relationship form.
I bring a diverse array of experiences to my practice and teaching, including formal training in Gestalt, Mindfulness, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, as well as a deep grounding in transformational methodologies. I earned my undergraduate degree from Reed College in Portland, Oregon and my Master’s degree of Integral Counseling at CIIS in San Francisco, California.
